Totalmast is an intramammary Suspension. A single dose is indicated for the clinical mastitis in lactating cows. It is aTreatment for all types of bacterial mastitis(acute or chronic), caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Micrococcus spp, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, Corynebacterium bovis, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus uberis, Pseudomona aeruginosa, Streptococcus pyogenes, Klebsiella spp.
Cattle (lactating calves ): Apply a whole syringe content per quarter of affected area. The content of one syringe (10 g) into each infected quarter will generally be effective. If necessary, in severe cases the treatment can be reapplied after 48 hours from the first application, only if the veterinary doctor deems it is needed. If redness, irritation or swelling of the quarter persists, discontinue usage and redetermine the diagnosis. Before injection the udder should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. After administration, the udder should be massaged gently by means of circular movements in ascending sense to obtain a better diffusion of the drug.
Milk for human consumption must not be taken from cows during treatment. Milk must not be taken for human consumption until 108 hours have passed from the last application of the treatment. Animals meant for human consumption should not be slaughtered during treatment or until 2 days have passed from last treatment application
